Die drei Engelsköpfe sind nicht der Überfülle der früheren piktorialen Angelogie entnommen, wie etwa bei Raffael oben in der himmlischen Zone des Bildes, sondern sehen eher nach einer Inszenierung von Modelabels wie aus, wo  Models im Engel-Outfit erscheinen. Die beiden Heiligen, Cäcilia und Paulus, scheinen von dem angelogischen Treiben eher unbeeindruckt und verharren in ihrer, auf das Jenseitige gerichteten Haltung.

Will ich damit die klassische metaphysische Welt der Renaissance mit dem materialistischen massenmedialen Konsum-Glamour  konfrontieren?

Oder umgekehrt: die Konsumwelt sozusagen metaphysisch aufladen?

The three angel heads are not drawn from the profusion of earlier pictorial angelology, as in Raphael’s work in the heavenly zone of the painting, but rather resemble a fashion label’s production, where models appear in angel costumes. The two saints, Cecilia and Paul, seem rather unimpressed by the angelic commotion and remain in their posture, directed toward the hereafter.

Am I thereby seeking to confront the classical metaphysical world of the Renaissance with the materialistic, mass-media-driven glamour of consumerism?

Or conversely: to imbue the consumer world with metaphysical significance, so to speak?

"Oben auf dem Gebilde des Thrones aber saß eine Gestalt, anzusehen wie ein Mensch. Ich sah auch etwas wie Goldschimmer, wie das Aussehen eines Feuers inwendig ringsum; von der Erscheinung seiner Lenden nach oben hin und von der Erscheinung seiner Lenden nach unten hin sah ich wie das Aussehen eines Feuers, und ein Glanz war rings um ihn her.
