„Fantasy“ verweist auf Phantasie und vor allem auf Einbildungskraft.

In diesem Themenschwerpunkt FANTASY zeige ich neuere übermalte Collagen. Meine Bildquellen finde ich in früherer Kunst, in eigenen Fotos, in Comics, Emojis und Illustrierten. In diesen Arbeiten geht es um Imaginationen, die unsere Einbildungskraft ansprechen und eine Fülle von Bedeutungen, Assoziationen und Gefühlen auslösen können und die damit die pure Autonomie des Kunstwerks erweitern.

“Fantasy” refers to imagination and, above all, to creative imagination.

In this thematic focus on FANTASY, I present recent collages created by painting over existing images. I find my visual sources in older art, my own photographs, comics, emojis, and magazines. These works explore imaginings that appeal to our imagination and can trigger a wealth of meanings, associations, and emotions, thereby expanding the pure autonomy of the artwork.
